We’re nearing the completion of a project Ben Lundsten and I began working on a month ago: a new website for Otto’s in New Ulm, a restaurant attached to the local Holiday Inn. They were looking for something German, fun, and down to earth. How did we do?

Keep Up With the Curiosity Rover

Ten days ago, NASA landed a rover on Mars. I was one of the many watching the event streaming live online. What a rush! The live stream was a great way for NASA to connect with people on a more personal level. I breathed a sigh of relief as each step was successful and celebrated once the landing was confirmed. Now that that’s all over, however, how do we keep up with Curiosity and its team?

A Soccer Logo Update

A week ago today, I created the first iteration of a logo for a soccer-related non-profit organization. I worked on it a bit over the past week and came up with this second iteration. Once again, this is inspired by emblem-like logo that most professional soccer teams have. So, did make all the changes I had promised, and did they help?
3D Printing and the End of the Industrial Age

3D printing, or additive manufacturing, has been in the news more and more lately, and for good reason. It’s allowing people to build amazing things, such as a 3D replica of a live fetus, or a robotic exoskeleton. These are fantastic uses for this breakthrough technology. If this is something you are extremely excited about, it’s possible to buy one right now.

Technology is bringing about many changes to the way we interact and consume. News is an excellent example of how quickly this change is happening. I’ve transitioned from reading the newspaper at work and watching TV, to using Flipboard, having an optimized Twitter list, and receiving daily headlines from the Huffington Post in my email.
